The national mesothelioma law firm of Baron and Budd has made a substantial donation to the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) as a platinum sponsor for the second consecutive year. Baron and Budd is a fervent supporter of ADAO and their efforts to raise public awareness about the dangers of asbestos exposure.
“The work that ADAO does is so imperative to those that have been impacted by asbestos disease,” says Russell Budd, president and managing shareholder of Baron and Budd. “It is with pleasure that our firm continues to sponsor ADAO and the invaluable work that the people of the organization do.”
As the CEO and co-founder of ADAO, Linda Reinstein knows just how devastating asbestos disease can be. She herself is a widow of a mesothelioma victim, and has since dedicated herself to asbestos advocacy through spreading awareness and pushing for a national ban on asbestos. On behalf of ADAO, Reinstein is able to speak with Congress, health care providers, national and international non-profit organizations, and victims of mesothelioma about the dire need for an asbestos ban. ADAO also offers support and community for mesothelioma patients and caregivers seeking help. After nine years of hard work thanks to countless volunteers, sponsors, supporters and Reinstein herself, ADAO is now the largest independent asbestos organization in the United States.
ADAO will be holding its ninth annual conference, “The Asbestos Crisis: New Trends in Prevention and Treatment,” taking place March 22-24, 2013 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va. The conference will feature a host of keynote speakers and honorees and will center around four key topic areas: patient advocacy, prevention, medical advancements and a global ban on asbestos. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Reinstein has also added a session to address the harmful effects associated with asbestos in the aftermath of a natural disaster.
The national mesothelioma law firm of Baron and Budd has been committed to serving the mesothelioma community for almost 35 years. It is an honor to be able to continue fighting for those affected by asbestos exposure and to support such valuable organizations like ADAO.
