You have read about the Law of Attraction and you may have even
watched movie The Secret. You have made your requests to the universe
and you have waited patiently for your desires to come true. At the
moment you still have nothing to show for your efforts. Now you are
asking yourself; why is it not working for me?
The answer is, The Law of Attraction is always working for you. It is always bringing into your life experience everything that your mind and your thoughts are focused upon. For many of us, we are always thinking about what we don't have or the negative experiences that we face on a daily basis. They can be things that we experience personally like a poor work environment and the feeling of being trapped in a job we don't like. Or, the daily bombardment of bad news that is thrown at us in all forms of media that cause us to feel fear, sadness or depression.
This type of negative attraction is something that we are all very good at, and we do it without even thinking about it. The key is that it takes effort and practice on your part. It means that you need to start watching your thoughts consciously and thinking more positively. Start off by reading more and educating yourself about this powerful law and how it can turn your life around. Abundance doesn't just mean more money in your bank account.
By changing the way we think and identifying what it is we truly want, everyone can experience more love, happiness and contentment. We can apply it to our relationships, work and home environments. As you learn more about The Law of Attraction you will find many exercises that will help you to focus your thoughts and attain your desires.
One of my favorite daily affirmations comes from the book The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent written by Esther and Jerry Hicks. It is "Today, no matter where I am going, no matter what I am doing, no matter whom I am doing it with, nothing is more important than that I feel good". When I make this affirmation early in the morning, it starts the process of attracting more good feeling thoughts throughout the day.
In my future articles I will share with you my experiences with The Law of Attraction. You will see how what I thought I wanted and what I received are two very different things. And, when I started to consciously focus on what I wanted how positive events manifested into my life.
